Three ways to ask
Every example below is a live query against the index.
Look up a symbol
Type a gene symbol, name or ID and jump straight to its orthologs and disease associations.
TP53
Try TP53 →Disease + ortholog
Start from a disease and ask which model organisms carry an ortholog of the human genes behind it.
Parkinson disease -> fly, worm
Open advanced search →Compare gene to gene
Pull up two genes side by side and read their ortholog sets and confidence calls against each other.
BRCA1 vs Brca1
Try BRCA1 →Data in this release
Alliance of Genome Resources 9.1.0, covering human, mouse, rat, zebrafish, both Xenopus frogs, fly, worm and yeast — with orthologs and gene–disease associations. Xenopus tropicalis and Xenopus laevis now have their own gene pages, so the ortholog edges pointing at them resolve instead of dead-ending. Counts shown on this page are read from the index at render time rather than written down here.
Gene Ontology annotations are loaded and shown on each gene page. Not loaded yet: protein interactions (STRING), expression and literature.
